A Newcastle man has been charged over the alleged murder of a 56-year-old man, whose decomposing body was found in a surfboard bag near Wollongong, earlier this year.
The 43-year-old was arrested at Cessnock Correctional Centre this morning and was later charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and detaining for advantage.
He was refused bail and will face Newcastle Local Court today.
Two other men, in Goulbourn and the Central Coast, were also charged with the man’s murder.
His body was found in a shared laundry, in a unit block on Crana Place in Mangerton on April 16.
