An 80-year-old man has faced court charged with common assault, after allegedly firing his rifle in a Hunter home.
It’s alleged the man discharged the gun in a house at Hilldale on Friday, while a 71-year-old woman was inside.
He’s also been charged with possessing an unregistered firearm and firing it in a manner likely to injure.
Police allege the incident was domestic-related.
