Students from five of the region’s schools turned their attention towards the chess board today, as the annual interschool chess tournament got underway at St Joseph’s Primary.
Faces full of concentration as players plotted their next move.
“The children all play for this trophy that I have in my hand here, the interschool trophy. It’s got three different schools on it now, so the other two we’re hoping that they’ll go on it fairly soon.”
