RED CARPET DAY SERVES AS TOURISM BOOST FOR ETTALONG

They’ve been suffering lately due to the closure of the Palm Beach ferry, but today, businesses at Ettalong opened their doors for the inaugural Red Carpet Day. The event included special offers for shoppers and a vintage car show, aimed at drawing tourists back to the popular holiday village. What’s more – Red Carpet Day has served as a much-needed morale boost for the local community. It’s hoped the dredging of the Ettalong Channel will be completed in the coming weeks. (AUDIO IN PARTS)

BUS DRIVERS HIT THE BRAKES

Bus drivers on the Central Coast are threatening to shut down services on Friday, if a new enterprise agreement can’t be reached. Drivers are fighting for better pay and super-annuation benefits. They’re preparing to walk off the job from noon, and have also advised that Opal cards will be switched off for an indefinite period. (VISION ONLY)
