JAMES NITTIES TIES FOR FIFTH AT NEW ZEALAND PGA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Queensland’s Brad Kennedy birdied the final hole to win the New Zealand PGA Championship by two shots today, from fellow Aussie, Neven Basic and Kiwi, Josh Geary.

Opening round leader, James Nitties, wrapped up his week in Auckland with a 70, ending up in a tie for fifth.

Fellow Hunter golfer Aaron Townsend also fired a 70 this afternoon to sit four shots back, while Jake Higginbottom rounded out a solid effort to finish at 10 under for the tournament.
