COFFS GROMMETS TRIUMPH ON HOME BREAK

Rising above trying surf conditions today, Coffs Coast surfers dominated the finals of Wink’s Grom Cup. Mullaway’s Justin Turk this afternoon prevailed in the 18s’ final. Alex Manatis and fellow Coffs Harbour surfer Billy Kean rounded out the placings. While in the 16’s final, Bali’s Oney Anwar took control, in choppy one metre surf. Finishing an impressive day for the locals, Alex Swadling was the runner-up in his age group. The two-day contest attracted 250 junior surfers.
