NEWCASTLE JETS SIGN DEAL WITH ST COLUMBA ANGLICAN SCHOOL

The Newcastle Jets have signed a two year deal with St Columba Anglican School to host a new football academy in Port Macquarie. It’s aimed at creating more opportunities for players aged between 9 and 14. The academy, which is now underway, will provide an additional training venue and access to coaches and players from the Jets. It also opens the door for players and coaches from St Columba to visit the main academy in Newcastle. (VISION ONLY)

PERFECT CONDITIONS FOR PORT MACQUARIE’S BODYBOARDING COMP

More than 40 competitors took to the waves at Port Macquarie’s Town Beach today, for the monthly bodyboarding competition. Offshore winds combined with three-foot waves made for the perfect conditions. Chase O’Leary took out the open’s division, while Fraser Smith impressed the judges in the drop-knee and Tallis Keft in the Grommets. Charlie Holt claimed victory in the pro division while Caleb Ramsey won the cadets, Harley Hine was first in the juniors and Simon Andrews in the Masters. (VISION ONLY – NO AUDIO)
