The Christmas Carols by Candlelight in Coffs Harbour will go ahead despite earlier concerns this year’s event would be cancelled.
The Coffs Harbour Racing Club made an appeal for sponsors last week, seeking $25,000 to pay for the carols evening.
Numerous businesses chipped in and the council contributed $3,000 instead of its original $1,000 dollar pledge.
A racing club spokesman says the event will go ahead on Saturday 14th of December from 4pm.
