Lismore MP Thomas George has fronted angry mums over the shock closure of Murwillumbah’s birthing unit.
Locals are investigating if a loophole could see the ward re-open immediately.
“There needs to be some simple changes to role delineation that needs to come from a ministerial level and if those changes were made then the birthing would be able to be bought back with immediate affect.”
Thomas George has assured locals an external-review is underway.
