There was a delicate rescue on the Central Coast this morning, with an injured bushwalker winched from the Bouddi National Park. The woman was walking along the Bouddi Coastal Walk when she hurt her ankle at around 8 o’clock on Friday morning. It triggered a large emergency response, with paramedics, Fire & Rescue, Rural Fire Service and Central Coast Lifeguards all involved in the rescue The woman was eventually airlifted from the scene by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. A 27-year-old man has been charged, following a crash which killed a pedestrian on the Central Coast last year. A 47-year-old man was struck by a vehicle, while crossing Marks Road at Gorokan on November 22. He was found with severe injuries to his head, arm and leg, and died at the scene. Following inquiries, the driver of a Ford Falcon was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death. The 27-year-old’s licence was also suspended. He’s due in Wyong Local Court in March.

A 37-year-old woman will face Gosford Local Court today, accused of supplying drugs in the Gosford area. Strike Force Plower was established in October 2018 to investigate the supply of drugs, namely methylamphetamine, in the Gosford area. Around midday yesterday, police arrested a woman after a vehicle stop on the Pacific Highway at Lisarow. The vehicle was searched, and officers allegedly located and seized an amount of drugs, believed to be methylamphetamine. Later in the day, police searched a home on Hills Street, North Gosford, where they seized mobile phones, cannabis and a weapon. The woman was charged with several drug supply offences.

Three teenagers have been charged, following an alleged armed robbery in Woy Woy. Around 3.30am on January 14, police allege three boys, all aged 16, entered a service station on Memorial Avenue, Blackwell, and threatened the attendant with a gun while demanding cash. The teens fled on foot with a sum of cash. Officers attended the scene, where they located and seized two replica firearms nearby. Following inquiries, later that day, one teen was arrested and charged with robbery in company, while armed with dangerous weapon. He was refused bail to reappear in a Children’s Court on March 12. Yesterday, another two teens were arrested at a Woy Woy home and charged. Both were refused bail to appear in a Children’s Court today.

A coronial inquest will be held into a recent spate of suspected drug-related deaths at music festivals across New South Wales. Among the cases to be examined by the Acting State Coroner – 19-year-old Central Coast woman Alexandra Ross-King, who died after taking an unknown substance at Sydney’s FOMO festival on January 12.
