There’s been a discovery in Newcastle big enough to send a shiver down anyone’s spine. It’s one of the largest funnel web spiders experts have ever seen – but now it’s helping us, in a big way. Australian Reptile Park encourage people to hand them in at the park, or to participating hospital drop off centres within this peak season. Drop off zones around the region include Australian Reptile Park, John Hunter Hospital, Gosford Hospital, Wyong Hospital, and Wyoming Veterinary Hospital.

KNIGHTS LEARN A FEW TRICKS FROM CIRQUE DU SOLEIL

Training of a far different kind for the Newcastle Knights late today – not on the field, but backstage with performers from the latest Cirque du Soleil production. The cast of Quidam taught players a thing or two during rehearsals – thankfully all went to plan. There’s no chance of losing any players to the show though by the looks of things – the production is in Newcastle until the 24th of January. (VISION ONLY)
