MINOR TO MODERATE FLOOD WARNING
FOR THE NAMBUCCA RIVER

Flood Warning Number: 4
An additional 30 millimetres of rain has fallen over the Nambucca valley in the
last 3 hours to 11.30am
Further moderate to heavy rain is forecast for the next 6 to 12 hours.
Moderate flooding is current at Bowraville while at Macksville moderate
flooding is expected later today.
Predicted River Heights/Flows:
Bowraville – With current rainfall, peak around 8.1 metres in the next hour
with moderate flooding. Further rises are possible if the
rainfall rate increases.
Macksville – Rise to moderate flood level on the rising tide (2.1 metres)
Further rises are possible if the rainfall rate increases.

Warning to Sheep Graziers
for the Northern Tablelands and Mid North Coast forecast districts.

Sheep Graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and southeasterly winds
are expected during Tuesday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the
Northern Tablelands and Mid North Coast forecast districts. There is a high
risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

MINOR TO MODERATE FLOOD WARNING
FOR THE MACLEAY RIVER
Issued at 11:10 on Tuesday 14 June 2011
Up to 115 millimetres of rain has fallen during the past 48 hours to 9 am today. However, the rain intensity has increased during the past 9 hours, with 50 millimetres falling during this period.
Further heavy rain is forecast for the next 6 to 12 hours.
This rain is expected to cause minor to moderate flooding along the Macleay
River at Georges Creek, Bellbrook and Kempsey from this afternoon onwards.
At this stage it is not possible to predict the flood peak because of
uncertainty over how much more rain will fall.
Predicted River Heights/Flows:
Georges Creek
– Exceed minor flood level (6.0 metres) tonight
Bellbrook
– Exceed minor flood level (6.5 metres) around 3pm this afternoon
Kempsey
– Exceed minor flood level (4.5 metres) around 6pm this evening
– Reach moderate flood level (5.6 metres) around midnight tonight
