Legal bid to stop Mt Pleasant expansion dismissed

Upper Hunter locals who challenged the extension of Mount Pleasant coal mine say they’re disappointed, after their legal bid failed.

The operation – west of Muswellbrook – is poised to double production until 2048… the residents now want governments to change laws, to consider climate change.
