GREAT NORTH WALK FOR CHARITY
A dedicated group of fathers and sons have completed a 235-kilometre trek from Sydney to Newcastle.
The group, from Mandalong and Sydney, set out on the Great North Walk two weeks ago to raise money for a small village in Kenya.
To make the journey even more gruelling, the group slept under the stars each night.
“There was one day there the boys did 25 kilometres and it was nearly 1000 metre climb, so there’ve been some tough days but there’s been some early ones too”
The team managed to raise $8,500.
