CHILD KILLED IN CENTRAL COAST CRASH

A child has died, and one has been airlifted to hospital following a car crash on the Central Coast.

A Nissan X-trail hit a power pole on Fagans Road at Lisarow, before 9.15am.

Emergency services attended the scene shortly after, but one of the children could not be saved.

The male driver was freed after being trapped for a short time and airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

A second child passenger was airlifted to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a serious condition.

Police have established a crash investigation and inquiries continue.
