AWARD-WINNING CHILDREN’S SHOW COMES TO THE CIVIC THEATRE

It’s not just children singing along to the Bluey theme song – parents are too.

The Australian animated children’s television show ‘Bluey’ has become an international success since it first aired in 2018.

It is based on the life of a six-year-old blue heeler puppy, who lives in Brisbane, Queensland with her parents and sister Bingo.

Exceptionally popular, it has won a Logie award, an international Emmy Kids Award and this year the soundtrack became the first children’s album to hit number one on the Aria album charts.

Now, for the first time, Bluey and Bingo are appearing live on stage at the Civic Theatre Newcastle.

‘Bluey’s Big Play’ is a new theatrical adaptation of the television show, with an original story by the creator Joe Brumm and new music by Joff Bush.

The puppets will come to life next month and tickets can be purchased on the Civic Theatre website.
