One man is dead, while a second remains under police guard in hospital after an overnight stabbing near Kempsey.
Police were called to Dondingalong just after 9 o’clock on Friday evening, when they found a 54-year-old man deceased.
A short time later officers were alerted to a single vehicle crash not far from the home on Pipers Creek Road, where they arrested a man in his 40s.
He was taken to hospital under police guard suffering non-life threatening injuries.
Inquiries are continuing.
