A major blow for the Newcastle Jets, with Joey Champness sidelined for up to 10 weeks, after fracturing his foot today at training.
Champness was set to fill the void left by the suspended Roy O’Donovan, but he’ll now be racing the clock to be fit for Newcastle’s season-opener in late October.
The 21-year-old was also set to take part in Graham Arnold’s first Olyroos camp next week.
