DATE SET FOR OXBORROW APPEAL

There’s hope for Broadmeadow Magic that Mitch Oxborrow can play in their FFA Cup tie next Tuesday, with an appeal hearing set down for Friday night.

The former A-League midfielder was banned for five matches, after allegedly spitting at an opposing player.

The appeal will be heard by an independent body.

Oxborrow has already served two games of the ban.
