A dead humpback whale has washed up on Big Hill Beach near Crescent Head on the New South Wales Mid North Coast.
It is continuing to inflate and has tripled in size in the past 4 hours.
An exclusion zone has been set up in case it explodes.
Lifeguards have sent drones up to monitor shark activity.
