  1. Dear Sir/Madam, My Mother and I watch NBN News regularly (at Coffs Harbour where we live) and are disappointed when the Sports come on. There is definitely a “pecking order” of how each sport is presented: NRL always first, Rugby Union 2nd, Cricket or Golf next and Soccer (Football) is always last! Even when we are in the middle of the A-League season, footage of the A-League games are nearly always shown last when they should be shown first as Rugby League is still in their off-season!

Also Soccer (Football) is the “World Game” played in every country of the world whereas Rugby League is only played in about 5 countries and Cricket only in Commonwealth countries. I’ve been meaning to write these comments for a long time and ask that common sense will prevail and equality be shown where it is most needed – especially when Australia has qualified for the World Cup – and the World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the world! (it is bigger than the Olympics!).

    Thank you for considering this.
