SPECIAL GIFT FROM LAKE MACQUARIE SCHOOLBOY

Lake Macquarie schoolboy Konah Milton turned 11 today and used his birthday as a gift to others.

Konah, hadn’t had a haircut since his little sister fell ill four years ago and sadly succumbed to cancer.

Today in front of his classmates at Floraville Public, it took just five minutes for Konah to lose his locks in a fundraiser for leukaemia research.

  1. What a beautiful boy…..so sorry to hear about your sister.
I also had a boy who last his battle with cancer. He also went to Floraville and they supported us in a shave in 2015. A great school with a very kind heart and lots of community spirit.

  2. Hi Karen,
We often look and admire your sons memorial graffiti wall at school, We are very lucky to be a part of such a beautiful school and community, We are very sorry for your loss, though i’m sure my sons little sister was in the bed next to your son James in hospital, her name was Ruby-Rose, which makes this story even more special because these 2 young angels knew each other and battled the same hard battle…

  3. That’s so sweet! I read about it in The Brief newsletter that came home this week with my daughter, who attends Floraville Public School. I’m so sorry to hear about your sister passing away from leukaemia but I’m sure she’d be so proud of you for what you’ve done and for donating your beautiful hair to a girl who doesn’t have any. That’s true community spirit and devotion. God bless… xoxo
