The northern NSW coast got a much needed break from heavy overnight rain accumulating 100 to 200mm for most of the coast.
The trough drifted offshore today.
Tomorrow an East-Coast Low is likely to form so the onshore winds will increase and the rain will return.
It is likely we will continue to see rain, heavy at times, continue along the coast over the weekend and into next week so more flooding is expected.
