Fire fighters are battling an out-of-control bushfire at Lake Macquarie, amid searing heatwave conditions.
The blaze broke out earlier this afternoon in isolated bush near Morisset.
No homes are under immediate threat, but crews are preparing for property protection along Stockdale Street, with the fire moving in a westerly direction.
