Two police officers were injured over the weekend, when a welfare check at a home in Zara, west of Murwillumbah, allegedly turned violent.
When the officers arrived, a male inside allegedly became aggressive towards another resident before attacking the pair.
The 22 year old was arrested and all three were taken to Tweed Heads Hospital for treatment.
