POLICE SEEK WITNESSES TO SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH NEAR KEMPSEY
Police are investigating what caused a car to crashed on the Pacific Highway on the Mid North Coast, leaving a 41-year-old male passenger fighting for life in hospital.
Just after 2pm on Friday, emergency services responded to reports of a single vehicle crash at Kundabung, south of Kempsey.
It’s believed the Holden Commodore left the roadway and clipped a guardrail, before crossing the highway and colliding with a tree.
The occupants, four men and a woman, were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. One of the passengers, a 41-year-old man, is currently in a critical condition.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Reports suggest that immediately prior to the accident, the Holden was being followed by a 4WD. The 4WD was not involved in the crash, but police believe the occupants may have witnessed what happened.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
