Port Macquarie cyclist Lauren Kitchen has started her 2016 campaign in fine form, placing third overall in the Tour Down Under in Adelaide.
The 25-year-old was sitting in second position heading into the final race, after finishing the first three stages in the top five.
It comes less than a fortnight after she won bronze in the National Criterium Championship in Victoria.
Kitchen will return to Port Macquarie this week, before heading off to the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race at the end of the month.
