Nambucca River Jockey Club officials say they’ll need to speak with Racing New South Wales, before re-scheduling yesterday’s washed-out Boxing Day Race Carnival.
The feature race was the Phillip Hughes Memorial Cup, but heavy rain made racing too dangerous.
A jockey club spokesman said it’s hoped the race will be run at its meeting on March 5 next year.
A decision on the meeting is expected later next month.
