BOY FOUND CHAINED UP IN BLACKTOWN HOUSE

A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after police reportedly discovered him chained up in his Blacktown home.

Police from Blacktown Local Area Command were called to the house about noon after “concerns were raised for the welfare of a teenage boy,” a NSW Police Force spokesman said.

Paramedics, firefighters and police removed the boy, understood to be 15, from the home.

Blacktown Local Area Command duty officer Inspector Maureen Deagan said the boy was not injured but was now being checked over by doctors at Blacktown Hospital as a precaution.

It is believed he was found chained up inside the house, but police have declined to comment.

“The inquiry continues and police will speak with the boy’s mother and relevant agencies,” Insp Deagan said.
