A man in his lucky to be alive after the car he was driving hit a tree, at Wallsend this morning.
Emergency services were called to Thomas Street at about 10, to find the man’s Toyota Camry had mounted the footpath.
The driver who had to be freed from the wreckage suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the John Hunter hospital where he’s reported to be in a stable condition.
