Four vehicles collided on Hogbin Drive in Coffs Harbour at around 1.30 this afternoon.
Witnesses say a silver vehicle attempted to overtake a shuttle bus over double lines, causing the pile up.
A woman in her sixties had to be freed from her car, and taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital with a suspected fractured sternum.
No other major injuries were suffered.
