E-Scooter charger believed to have started Mayfield house fire

Residents of five social housing units have been offered alternate accommodation after a fire engulfed a townhouse in the Newcastle suburb of Mayfield overnight.

An e-scooter charger is believed to have sparked the blaze… as well as a fresh safety plea from authorities.
