Maitland teacher sentenced for having sex with student

A Hunter teacher found guilty of having sex with a high school student, was today jailed for at least two years and two months.

The sentencing judge, labelling 41-year-old Daniel Belcher’s behaviour an “extraordinary breach of trust and authority”.
