Man accused of attempted murder following alleged Merewether stabbing

A 53-year-old man is behind bars tonight, accused of repeatedly stabbing a musician outside a popular Newcastle venue.

The alleged attack left the 69-year-old seriously injured – police believe the pair knew each other.
