A man has been charged after shots were fired at a New Year’s Eve Party in the Hunter.
The 35-year-old man was involved in an alcohol fuelled fight in the early hours of this morning during celebrations at a home in Muswellbrook.
Police say he left the party but returned 20 minutes later and allegedly fired several shots from a pistol into the air.
No one was injured.
The man was charged with being armed with intent, possessing a loaded firearm, endangering life, using a firearm whilst under the influence of alcohol, intimidation and other firearm offences.
He was refused bail.
