Former Super Rugby W coach Mike Hayes has returned home to Tamworth, to help train the next crop of talent.

He’s part of the Australian Raptors Rugby Academy, which has made its first trip to the region.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
