Conditions to intensify as Cyclone Alfred bears down

The SES is tonight warning people in the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast to prepare for destructive winds and heavy rain which could lead to flash flooding tomorrow.

Communities from Lismore to Kyogle are considered high risk and people there are being told to avoid unnecessary travel and move indoors.
