A learner driver has been caught travelling at 110 kilometres per hour in an 80 kilometre zone along Scotts Road.
The man lost control of the vehicle while overtaking, hitting a bridge near Goonoo Goonoo Road.
The passenger was taken to Tamworth Base Hospital for treatment and charges are expected to be laid at a later date.
