Hunter man mourns loss of companion dog after hit and run incident

It’s an incident which has struck at the heart of the Hunter – a routine morning walk turning to tragedy – with a dog killed, and his owner injured in a hit and run crash.

Police are tonight on a hunt for the driver involved, with a stern message for whoever was behind the wheel.
