The region will host two separate National Party pre-selection meetings over the coming weeks, in the wake of Richard Torbay’s dramatic exit from the political scene yesterday.
A number of high profile names have already been touted as candidates – with former Gunnedah mayor Adam Marshall today throwing his hat into the ring for the state seat of Northern Tablelands.
