Investigations are continuing into a single-vehicle crash in the Hunter yesterday

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash at Buchanan, in the Hunter region yesterday.

About 9.30am (Wednesday 19 April 2023), emergency services were called to John Renshaw Drive, Buchanan, after reports a car crashed into a power pole.

The driver died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 59.

Officers from Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
