STRONG START FOR CASINO IN FNC CRICKET

Reigning Cricket champions Casino Cavaliers have had a solid start to round two of the Far North Coast competition reaching 215 at the weekend, before Ballina Bears replied with zero for eight at stumps.

Pottsville had the same reply against Alstonville, who declared at 222 – with Liam Smith making a century.

A strong middle order helped Byron Bay to 160 against Tintenbar-East Ballina, who are yet to pick up the bat.
