In some positive news for an elderly man robbed in Lake Macquarie last week, Beyond Bank has donated the full amount stolen.
Gerald Minet and his wife Dorothy got a surprise visit from bank representatives yesterday, where they were told they would be reimbursed the $2,500.
Mr Minet withdrew the money from the bank at the Belmont Citi Centre last Friday, but was robbed when he returned to his car.
The money is being put towards renovations on the couple’s home.
