A 28-year-old Tighes Hill woman has been charged with intent to commit an indictable offence, after she was allegedly found to be threatening to kill her neighbours last night.
The incident occurred when police arrived at a Henry Street property after receiving a noise complaint. The occupants complied with police, however police were called back about 10 minutes later and spoke to the female who was upset with the noise.
The woman was advised to go back inside her house but 5 minutes later was allegedly found her on the driveway of the neighbour’s premises threatening to kill them.
Police allege she was crouched down near the neighbour’s vehicle and had a plastic container of fuel and a cigarette lighter.
The woman was arrested while allegedly assaulting one of the officers.
She will appear at Newcastle Local Court this morning charged with offences including using offensive language, assault police and resist arrest.
I refer to a recent weather report by Gavin Morris in which he highlighted the current warm winter and included a shot of the floating camera at the North Pole. He could have, and in the interest of balance, should have mentioned the fact that while the North Pole has lost summer ice the Antarctic has record levels of sea ice. AS at the 4 Aug it was 900 thousand square kilometres above the 1981 to 2010 average and about 500 thousand square kilometres above this time last year. This information is also important so why does Gavin leave it out? While I’m at it the global temperature anomoly for July as determined by the NOAA19 satellite and managed by UAH shows a continuing hiatus now exceeding 15 years. I would have thought both these facts would be good news when many have been preaching alarm over global warming. I wonder why Gavin doesn’t tell his listeners about it?
