Sharks down Hurricanes in Super League

After an outstanding opening round clash against Drummoyne in the Sydney Super League, the Hunter Hurricanes struggled against Cronulla in the pool at the weekend.

The home side led two-nil before Gosford’s Corey Allan clawed one back.

Woy Woy centre forward Lachie McLeod also found the back of the net in the opening half.

Keenan Marsden scored early in the final quarter to give his side a chance…

But Australian rep Nic Brooks sealed the deal for The Sharks.

The Marsden brothers combined for a beautiful goal in the final minute, but Cronulla banked the points 11-six.

The Hurricanes face Sydney University in a fortnight.
