COAST PAIR COMPETE ON WORLD STAGE

Central Coast Kayak paddler Ella Beere has narrowly missed out on a medal at the Canoe Sprint World Cup in the Czech Republic.

Her Aussie K-Four crew, finishing in fifth place in the 500 sprint.

Beere was slightly off the pace in the Women’s K-One 200 – but will gain plenty of confidence from competing at the top level.

Meanwhile, fellow Avoca Kayak Club member Fletcher Armstrong was also in action.

The 20-year-old made the B-Final in the 500-metres, before teaming up with Jackson Collins to reach the semis in the K-2.

The World Cup Series continues in Poland this week.
