POLICE OPERATION NETS DRUNK AND DRUG DRIVERS ON THE GOLD COAST
A woman will appear in court after allegedly blowing nearly five times the legal limit while driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle on the Gold Coast.
The 50-year-old from Biggera Waters allegedly recorded a breath alcohol concentration of .248.
It was just one of the notable offences detected over the weekend, as police performed more than 1200 random breath tests and 30 random drug tests during a targeted traffic operation across the Biggera Waters area.
Others include two drivers found in possession of dangerous drugs and a 44-year-old Biggera Waters woman, who allegedly recorded a breath alcohol reading of .171.
Both of the alleged drink drivers were issued Notices to Appear, and will front court in April.
