The Opal’s sensation who created Olympic history with her slam dunk in their match against Russia spent her early years growing up in Coffs Harbour.
Liz Cambage moved to the city with her mother when she was a baby, and was encouraged to take up the sport to make new friends.
By the time she left Coffs at the age of 10 she was already 182 centimetres tall.
