Two of Tamworth based trainer Cody Morgan’s horses came up short, racing in the Newhaven Park Country Championships today.
Anethole came in sixth place and Edit tenth out of the field of sixteen.
They held back at the start, and didn’t quite make up any ground… with the favourite leading until the final turn…
Anethole was third last around the 450 metre mark, and Edit around the 8th place, both couldn’t put in the final chase on the home stretch.
Wagga’s Another One took the lead, with jockey Nick Heywood… paying 10 dollars for the win.
