NEW MOTION TO RETAIN 14 FIG TREES

A late addition to tonight’s Newcastle Council agenda could bring an end to the Laman Street fig saga.

Two councillors believe they have the numbers to win a motion to retain the 14 trees.

The Laman St avenue of trees is an asset to this beautiful City and so are the amazing campaigners who have worked so hard to produce this result. The media coverage and all the support from local business and the legal team – its all just amazing. the best news I have heard in ages.
